Devo - Freedom Of Choice (1980) $15
Incredibly, I discovered this SEALED New Vinyl for sale. I did not hesitate and verified that it was an original pressing from 1980 and not a re-issue. With inflation, I am actually getting this vinyl for cheaper than buying it for $8.99 in 1980. Possibly the most commercially successful record from Devo, with hits 'Whip It', 'Freedom of Choice' and 'Girl U Want,' it helped paved the road for new wave music to enter mainstream radio
Jam - All Mod Cons (1978) $13
The most popular of the first three LPs from this standout UK punk/new wave band. The Jam fared better than all the early UK punk bands by re-inventing themselves well into the 80s. Lead singer Paul Weller went on to form 'the Style Council' with a more soulful sound.
Ochestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (1980) $9
The debut LP from this cerebral synth pop band, featuring 'Electricity' and 'Messages,' songs inspired by Kraftwerk. Oddly uncommercial approach to writing songs about topics that intrigued them.
TRB - Power in the Darkness (1978) $10
The debut LP from the Tom Robinson Band, challenging the then prevailing British sexual and political stereotypes. Ahead of it's time!
Gary Numan - Replicas (1979) $6.
The original robotic and claustrophobic world view of the impending mechanized society. Bleak futuristic view, but brilliant use of synthesizers to convey this dystopian vision, such as "Are Friends Electric"
Members - At the Chelsea Nightclub (1979) $9
The significantly under-appreciated debut album from the punk/reggae influenced UK band. Several classic songs of teen isolation and parting, with varied and accomplished musical stylings. A must listen!
